Iwunder is on a retrieval mission and can come up trumps this time, with Tamalain, Life's A Whirl and Alvarita rivals worth noting. The latter makes her debut and normally would not be considered, but the Sir Mark Prescott stable is in such good form that the daughter of the stable's dual Champion Stakes heroine Alborada could easily be good enough to go in first time. However, with experience to call on, it is Henry Candy's Iwunder that gets the vote. She was sent off as favourite at Sandown last time on the strength of a very promising debut at the Esher track earlier, but after setting the pace in the soft ground she had nothing left for the finish and had to settle for third, with one of today's rivals Tamalain passing her close home. On this better ground, Iwunder is taken to gain revenge on the very exposed Amanda Perrett challenger. Life's A Whirl will also be expected to show more than when fifth on rain-softened ground here at the end of last month, but may need more time, as will the likes of Five Fields. Iwunder has plenty going for her now and should go close.
