Verdict

TESSERACT, one of four J P McManus-owned entries, was only sixth in this last year though that was his only start of the campaign. He had a run at Ballinrobe last month and this could have been his target so he gets a tentative vote. He's very closely matched with Full Cry on their 1-2 at Wexford in 2017 though the latter has a claimer on board and should go well. Beyond The Law hasn't really proved he stays this far while Rewritetherules will find this tougher than the hunter-chases he's been winning. Cecil Corbett is only 2lb higher than when scoring over the trip at Gowran in October though the main threat could come from Ellie Mac, who was there with every chance when unseating her rider at the second last in a Grade B handicap at the Punchestown Festival.
