Verdict

GOLD VENTURE is the only winner in the field but that success arrived in selling grade and she appeared to have limitations exposed when well at beaten at Chepstow next time. However, the form of that Welsh contest has taken on a new lustre as the winner went on to land a Listed contest and second and fourth have both won since and therefore it may well be worth rowing in with the Watson filly here. Able Kane showed definite promise on his Windsor debut and wouldn't need to improve significantly to take a hand, whilst the market should guide on the newcomers, of whom Souter Johnnie makes most appeal on paper.
