Copernican gets the nomination here ahead of Jafaru and Dee Cee Elle. Sir Mark Prescott's Copernican will probably be a warm order to bring up his three-timer, with his trainer being so adept at getting unexposed three-year-olds to run sequences of wins. Accordingly, he is the selection. Jafaru had his own hat-trick bid foiled at Goodwood last time, but it was still a fair effort from what was a modest draw and he looks likely to go well again today from what still seems to be a fair mark. Mark Johnston has won this race for the last three years and his tough-as-old-boots filly Dee Cee Elle is not ruled out of a good showing. Latanazul was allowed to dictate when scoring at Newmarket last time but it was a good effort and she is not ruled out of a good showing either. Bayonyx was beaten a whisker at Hamilton last time and, with further improvement likely, this expensive purchase could go well. Highland Legacy is closely weighted with him based on that Hamilton race just referred to. As with most of these three-year-old handicaps, there is plenty of scope for lightly-raced types to show improvement and on this list today is Noojoom but, for the selection,we will stick with Copernican.
