This test will suit FULL SPEED more than at Pontefract last time and Alan Swinbank's gelding is selected ahead of Mr Freddy. The last-named is interesting from the foot of the weights as Richard Fahey's progressive charge was not disgraced last time at Haydock, although he was ultimately well-held at the line. We prefer the top-weight Full Speed who was not given a hard time when beaten last time and based on his previous win at Chester in June he can still be competitive off this mark of 85. Demolition is a course and distance winner who should be ok with the drop back in trip, as should Kingsdale Orion and Bavarian Nordic who both have form at this trip although both may prefer some more rain. Distant Memories takes a drop in class after being well-held last time at York in a hot race, and the widest draw of all here won't really help, whilst Raaeidd may find this easier than at Sandown last time out and he is well-drawn for a prominent runner. Neil Callan looks an interesting jockey booking for Hugh Collinridge's Bid For Glory, Wind Shuffle and Moheeb both step back up in trip, whilst Lady Rangali probably needs more help from the handicapper before she can get her head back in front. An open race, but for us it's Full Speed ahead.
