        Verdict

This looks wide open, but we'll suggest that it could go the way of MRS MOGG, but Offspring and Pelmanism are also on the shortlist. Tom Dascombe's filly has fared better against her own sex, and is usually raced prominently. Her official rating is only a couple of pounds below the others on our shortlist, and although no world-beater, she ought to be able to win a contest such as this sooner rather than later. Pelmanism may not have the power within that is the meaning behind his name, but Kevin Ryan's yard's going well, and he's his only runner here. He struggled with the Catterick bend last time out, so will find the straight course here more to his liking. Offspring was a beaten favourite last time out; breeding would suggest she wants further, but this is actually a step down in trip. Support for local runner Gold Crusher could be worth noting, as he drops down in trip following a little lay-off and first time cheekpieces may help too. Competitive, albeit a lowly contest, with preference being for Mrs Mogg.
