There is enough in the pedigree to suggest that HALF TRUTH has more to offer and we side with the Godolphin entry in this contest just ahead of Alfraamsey and the Richard Hannon entry Miss Dutee. The selection won narrowly at Bath beating Byronic in her last outing and costing 95,000 guineas she looks the obvious one to progress in this contest and grab the victory. A half-sister to high class winner Fleeting Spirit, the trip and conditions will suit and Half Truth can get back-to-back wins. Alfraamsey was disappointing last time out at Pontefract but a decent maiden win at Newcastle prior to this suggests he could challenge here. Mick Channon has a 21% strike-rate at the course with juveniles and his option here looks the main danger to our pick. Miss Dutee runs for a yard in-form with their youngsters but this daughter of Dubawi hasn't produced any convincing runs yet so we avoid her on this occasion. We give the vote to Half Truth.
