Hard Bargain put in a determined effort to press the leaders all the way when third at Salisbury last month but MAJOR ART catches the eye after showing some promise on the July course on debut at Newmarket whilst Midnight Rider and Silken Thoughts could be in contention. Richard Hannon sends forth Major Art to vie for the major honours in this race. The selection was fifth on debut but there should be plenty more to come from this colt. He may need a mile and a half in time but this juvenile who cost 98,000 guineas will benefit from the experience of a run out. There is a reservation about the draw but Ryan Moore retains the ride and should be able to bring out the best in him. Hard Bargain has the services of Coral-Eclipse winning jockey Tom Queally and a decent third at Salisbury on his first run suggests there may be more to come here. Only a neck separated Silken Thoughts and Midnight Rider at Doncaster last month when they were third and fourth respectively. They could be in the picture in this contest but we opt for Major Art to score.
