Verdict
This is an intriguing handicap, and preference is for impressive Beverley scorer DEMOLITION to follow up, with Shaloo Diamond, Rangefinder and the consistent Granston the main dangers. Granston may be somrthing of a veteran but has shown he is no back number with two very respectable seconds in good handicaps this season. There is the suspicion however that he lacks a finishing kick so he is passed over. Rangefinder is having his first run for Luca Cumani, having won handicaps in Italy around this trip. The trainer's runners tend to improve for the run so a watching brief is advised. Shaloo Diamond is a consistent type and is open to further improvement. A course and distance winner last season, he does prefer some cut in the ground and has an absence of six months to overcome but is respected. Demolition is 6lbs higher than when scoring in fine style at Beverley last time over quarter of a mile further. He had earlier finished behind Granston at Doncaster, but he has progressed since and a course and distance scorer in August, Demolition can knock over his opponents here.
