FLAWED GENIUS can land the opener at the main expense of Arabian Spirit, Mister Hardy and Dunn'o. The selection won well at Thirsk last Saturday when he beat Webbow. The tongue-tie has clearly had a positive effect and from a decent draw he can defy a penalty to get his head in front again. Arabian Spirit went close in the Spring Cup at Newbury last time but his best form has been with cut in the ground and he has been drawn in the car park which is a massive negative. Mister Hardy is on the hat-trick mission but he is creeping up the weights and he looks to be up against it in a race as competitive as this, although it should be noted that he has run well here in the past. Dunn'o won last time but he has spoiled his chance previously by pulling too hard and there is a doubt over whether or not he will handle this track. His high draw also counts against him and he looks one to take on today. Elna Bright has a good draw but he disappointed on his only previous run here last season. Flawed Genius looks a safer bet and he gets our vote.
