Grande Roche can beat Westcourt Dream, with Bright Sun and Top Spec seen as potential dangers. With the Alan Swinbank stable in good form at present, hopes are high that Grand Roche can go one better than when second in a jump jockeys handicap at Hamilton last time. He is still a maiden but is not badly handicapped and will benefit from the return of Dean McKeown in the saddle. Wescourt Dream will go on the ground and will improve on her reappearance at Beverley where she raced a bit too keenly. Bright Sun is another to consider but always seems to find one or two too good, so a place may be the best that he can hope for, while Top Spec has plenty of weight and has yet to recapture his form. It is not a great race in truth, and should be well within the scope of Grand Roche.
