El Corredor is the pick over All Square, Khaysar and Deo Gratias in what looks a very open start to proceedings. David Pipe has quickly took over the winning mantle at Nicolashayne, and turns El Corredor out under a penalty here in a bid to add to the gelding's course-and-distance success of nine days ago. A step up in trip and fitting of a tongue-tie made all the difference to the son of Sadler's Wells, and a 7lb anchor should not be too prohibitive, with Tim Malone claiming 3lb. All Square also felt the benefit of a tongue-tie and step up in trip when scoring at Worcester in April and has since had a spin on the Flat so will be a threat along with the topweight Khaysar. Deo Gratias may find even this trip on the short side judged by the way that he plugged on over further at Huntingdon, but at least he will not be stopping at the finish. They appear to be the main contenders, with the vote going to El Corredor.
