This is a wide-open handicap in which only a tentative vote goes the way of Tadlil over a whole host of other possibles such as Danzig River, High Ridge, True Magic and The Terrier to name but a few. There are lots of things to take into account here, not least the draw, going, ground and recent form, and overall the pin comes down on Tadlil. Milton Bradley's charge was having just his 10th career outing when dead-heating at Haydock the time before last, and probably would have not had to share the spoils had he not hung left in the closing stages. He then made a bold bid to defy an 8lb rise at Warwick on Monday when he picked up well in the closing stages to get within half-a-length of the winner Polish Index. He is on the upgrade, and drawn 10 of the 18 runners here, he should get a run however the race pans out. Danzig River bounced back to form at Beverley four days ago, coming late over five furlongs, and although that was on softer going, he does handle faster conditions, and remains well handicapped so has to be a danger. High Ridge, a stablemate of the selection, has the assistance of Frankie Dettori so will attract support, while further down the weights, the likes of Compton Plume and Chairman Bobby should not be ruled out, especially if either is backed beforehand. All in all, this is a hard one to call, but we return to Tadlil as the answer.
