Verdict

Fulford is our call in a moderate contest with Legendary Guest and Irish Music sought as the alternatives. Mel Brittain's charge needs no introduction and has already put plenty of miles on the clock this term. He ran a solid third at Thirsk on a return to turf and can go close in this similar company. Legendary Guest was nicely backed at Hamilton last time out. Fast ground suits. Irish Music has proved expensive to follow in the past. A step up to six furlongs has appeared long overdue. Misplaced Fortune has never been too far away on this surface and with Nigel Tinkler sending out winners, she has to be respected at the likely odds. Select Committee has shown evidence as a juvenile of ability and it is certainly interesting that John Quinn has given up the idea of pilfering a prize under testing conditions. Planet Queen drops massively in grade having tried to keep tabs on the likes of Captain Gerrard in the past. Musical Charm has put up two poor efforts this term and it is to be hoped that the application of headgear works the oracle. Resolute Defender makes a handicap debut. This is a trappy affair and Fulford gets the vote.
