Daniel Thomas can win this with Provost, Inside Story and Bailieborough all players. The selection had looked to have lost his way but all credit to connections for their perseverance as the gelding put up a solid performance at Lingfield at the beginning of the month. He is yet to win on the turf but he is at least in form when many aren't. Provost paid the penalty for an emphatic win in a Yarmouth maiden last year. The handicapper finally appears on the relent. Inside Story has kept counsel in claimers over the winter. He is capable although not a particularly easy ride. Bailieborough has recently left the yard of Noel Wilson but is yet to capture his best. That said, he has few issues on today's prevailing ground. Emerald Isle makes a first journey into handicap company. Bright Sun is also proven on the surface. Roman History invariably pops up occasionally at big odds. He didn't suggest that anything was too likely last week at Newcastle. A number of these horses have it to prove today and with winning form on the board this season, Daniel Thomas is likely to have plenty of supporters.
