A race that makes little in the way of serious betting appeal but Silver Islands put up as a speculative punt against Ramvaswani and Pip's Assertive Way. The selection does come here off the back of a sizeable absence but with Kevin Bishop's horses running well of late and conditions set to suit, he represents far better value than most in this contest. Ramvaswani is a long standing maiden. Often backed, he was curiously left alone ahead of his first foray into the grade. Watch Out is proven over two miles on the level and while he didn't get a run on the winner at Market Rasen. Pips Assertive Way ran a fair race on bottomless ground at Worcester. She can give the pacesetters a fright. Limit is exposed as ordinary. A frenzied gamble on him at Ludlow came to nothing in the end. Quick Judgement just about gets this trip with a following wind. Integration was won a race over hurdles but one needs to overlook two desperate efforts on the level. This is one for the hardcore only and Silver Islands is put up with little confidence in a bad race.
