    Verdict

Our Wee Girl showed promise in abundance at Sandown and can go one better this afternoon; Verlegen, Prowl and Please Sing may emerge as possible dangers. The selection attracted some support prior to her debut and justified that with a promising display. She was slowly away, didn't keep a straight line and took a while to pick up but she came home well and will know what's required of her now. Verlegen was unfancied in the market on debut but ran well in a fair heat and the form of that run gives her leading claims but she may not have quite as much improvement in her as the selection. A host of likely looking newcomers include Bitza Baileys, Cecily, Dance Club, Golden Rosie, Please Sing and Prowl and their presence tempers confidence but Our Wee Girl gets the vote.
