Supercast can get the better of Island Music and It's A Dream en route to landing this prize. The gelding comes into this race in great form having won his last two starts in gritty fashion over trips in excess of today's. The return to a mile is no concern given his style of racing which also suggests that he's capable of continuing to defy the handicapper as he only does enough. Callan is the ideal partner for him and they won't go down without a fight. It's A Dream is the other in-form horse in the race having either won or gone close on each of his last three starts. He's edging up the weights as a consequence but the form is rock solid and he should continue to give a good account of himself. Efidium won a handicap here last year from this mark and is considered with the talented Tylicki aboard but of more appeal is Island Music. John Quinn's mare failed to build on her winning reappearance on her next two starts but has been given every chance by the handicapper and shaped much better at Carlisle. The selection will be a tough nut to crack though and Supercast is taken to prevail.
