BOTHWELL CASTLE is the form pick to land the opener at the expense of Cassidy K and Belle Eponine. The selection has caught the eye in both his last two starts which have been in claiming and selling class races. He was not beaten far in both races and he has proven he has more than enough ability to win a race of this nature. Cassidy K will pose as the biggest danger having shown a similar amount of ability in similar races. He ran well to finish a decent third of eleven in a selling contest at Thirsk last time out and is sure to be in the shake up once again. Belle Eponine drops into selling company for the first time having finished mid division in two maiden races. She was soundly beaten in both races but warrants respect in this grade with the betting market being the best guide to her chances. Bothwell Castle sets the standard in what is a poor opener and is difficult to oppose.
