Verdict

With Alan Berry's yard in good form Commando Scott looks to have an excellent chance of landing what on the face of it looks a trappy little race, with Tyne, Kingsmaite and Bright Sun likely to fight out the minors. Commando Scott was rated 80 after winning a Thirsk maiden, but found it tough on his handicap debut at Chester, before running well in defeat behind Wednesday's Ripon winner Bridgewater Boys at Haydock last month. Dropped a further 3lb and with his yard in cracking form he looks capable of returning to the winning trail here. Topweight Tyne is also dropping through the ratings and comes form a yard still going well, while Bright Sun finished in front of Kingsmaite when they were both behind Corps De Ballet at Nottingham last time out. With both that pair having been dropped since there should be little more than the half length that separated them between them again, but neither yard are at their peak at the moment and it would be a bit of a surprise if either get their nose in front today, so we are happy to stick with Commando Scott to score.
