With most of these fully exposed we will side with Goodbye Mr Bond to complete a hat-trick, with Alchemist Master and Apache Point likely to be involved. Goodbye Mr Bond hit form with a win off a mark of 52 at Newcastle earlier in the month, before following up over this same trip under a penalty at Hamilton last time. Clearly in great heart, he looks to have a bit more to come judged on that latest effort and can make it three in a row. Alchemist Master is also due to go up in the weights 3lb after a couple of seconds recently. On both those occasions he was only just held over seven furlongs, that latest being on fast ground at Thirsk the other day. He has won over this trip, albeit on the fibresand, and there is every reason to think he will go very well again here. Apache Point has won off marks a fair bit higher than he runs off here and on that basis he is in with a squeak, having landed a fast ground Hamilton handicap off 65 last year. However, he has found it hard since then and has not being running well enough off this sort of mark to give us major confidence in him, but he may well be up to making the minor honours. Night Wolf and Cashneem couldn't be discounted totally, both having fast ground form over a mile, but they look to be in the grip of the handicapper. For the selection then we say Goodbye Mr Bond.
