Brian Meehan has timed his preparation of Park Romance to perfection and delivers her into the hands of Kieren Fallon with expectations high of her becoming his third Royal ascot winner since Autumnal landed the Windsor Castle Stakes in 2000. There are numerous unexposed fillies that will not make it easy for the selection; with the shortlist of alternatives headed by Masa, who coasted to a wide margin victory on turf at Lingfield and can be expected to make another bold bid from her good drawn near the stands' rail. The daughter of Dr Fong recorded a respectable time on that occasion and holds the edge over a few of these with the experience of this trip sure to be significant as things unfold. Factor into her profile the fact that her owner won the Queen Mary Stakes with a similar type in 2002 and everything looks in place for Park Romance to make Royal ascot a happy hunting ground for her connections again today.
