In depth

Verdict

A very ordinary maiden that can be taken by African Breeze, with Trim Image and Wonderful Mind to fill the frame. The selection improved on a green-looking Thirsk debut when a one length fourth of 12 behind Miss Meggy at Beverley last time. Richard Whitaker's filly handles fast ground well, was staying on last time and looks like she is capable of winning at the third time of asking in a race where there is nothing like that form on offer. Trim Image makes her English debut, having twice contested Navan maidens this season. Placed on both starts, she clearly has some ability, and with those experiences to call upon and some more improvement to come she can chase home the selection, but on the bare form of her Navan runs she should not be good enough. Of the others, Wonderful Mind makes a little appeal, given that Tim Easterby's usually improve for a couple of runs, and he should have a fair bit of speed being by Mind Games, so may be good enough to complete the minors if coming on again. The selection here though, is African Breeze.
