Sangfroid should not be inconvenienced by the return to 1m6f and Sir Mark Prescott's gelding is taken to defy the 6lb penalty for his win at Catterick last month and gets the verdict ahead of Hi Dancer and Mr Mischief. The last mentioned has failed to trouble the judge since being bought out of Pat Haslam's stable following a win in a Southwell seller in May but has dropped to a decent mark as a result so cannot be discounted. Parchment ran better over this trip at Catterick last time and has place claims along with Jeremy Noseda's lightly raced Chunky's Choice. Let It Be is proving to be hard to win with, while The Diamond Bond remains a maiden after eight starts and is unlikely to end that run here. Pat Haslam's Hi Dancer has been in good form under both codes and has to be respected but, in receipt of weight, Sangfroid looks a better bet.
