    Verdict

Gin Genereux won nicely last time out and can follow up this afternoon, Piscean and Enactment could provide most danger. Mark Johnston's charge landed a Hamilton maiden in good style and took a Wolverhampton handicap last time out. There were good excuses for the two defeats in between and he can take this first prize this afternoon. Piscean has always looked the type for nurseries. He didn't last out the seven furlongs last time out and will appreciate this drop in trip. Sir Michael Stoute's Enactment is steadily getting the hang of things and wasn't disgraced last time out behind American Art. Ground and trip look ideal and he should be a big player. Penrice Castle has had a good season and looks the best of the rest, but Gin Genereux appears to have the more solid form claims and he gets our vote.
