Verdict
Market support for Durham Reflection would need to be taken seriously however in an open event we will take a chance on BUSTARD BAY who is preferred to Orpen Arms and William Morgan. The selection has shaped in his three runs to date as if he has the ability to pick up a contest like this. His latest run at Catterick was arguably his best to date and James Given's charge does not look harshly treated on a mark of 61. Tribal Myth was sixth in that race and similar comments apply, whilst Gold Story and High Rolling are both open to more improvement as they step up to seven furlongs. William Arnold's run behind Whippers Love reads well, and he actually holds the selection on their run at Catterick when second at a whopping 250/1. Orpen Arms was well-fancied at Beverley last time but she got going too late and she has a bit to prove now, although the feeling is that this trip should be within range with Paul Hanagan back on board a plus. Interestingly stablemate William Morgan's run behind Azizi reads as better form however the stable number one jockey jumps ship. Novay Essjay has an engagement at Ripon earlier this week and it will be interesting to see how he has reacted to being gelded, whilst Suzi's A Smartlady has shaped with promise and a mark of 67 for this handicap bow looks manageable. An open heat, but the vote is given to Bustard Bay for a yard with a profitable record at the track.
