Verdict

GALLEGO is familiar with this place and in a race where whips can be carried but not used, that experience may be key; Noel Garbutt knows Pretty Officer well so she may prove to be the main danger. Richard Price's seven-year-old has a stellar 13 wins to his name and he is better judged on his two wins here in June and July rather than his Newbury flop last time. Regular pilot Marcus Price is sure to have informed today¿s jockey Josephine Bruning of his quirks and a big run is expected with the decent ground in his favour. Ailsa Craig scraped home at Bath last time out and needed a lot of encouragement from Ryan Moore so this race doesn't look ideal, and a bigger threat may be Flying Silks who was given a bit too much to do last time out at Kempton. Hallingdal has a poor strike-rate but she was a cosy winner at Folkestone last time and if coping with the drop in trip she should hit a place at least, whilst Diamond Twister seemed to enjoy a trip to Deauville last time out and doesn't look badly treated on a mark of 68 today. Course and distance winner Miss Mojito has some good form in better races earlier this year and is of interest, along with the consistent mare Inquisitress. Gallego comes here searching for a fifth course success and is taken to complete the hand.
