GREEN LAGONDA doesn't look chucked in off this mark but he can still get competitive; Triple Dream and Matterofact make up the shortlist. David Evans' gelding comes here on the back of a moderate run at Chepstow where he was fancied to run well. His best recent runs have come at Brighton so he should appreciate the return to a downhill run and off a 1lb lower mark he should run well. Fromsong, Golden Dixie and Pic Up Sticks give the older generation a strong representation, whilst Even Bolder already has 37 runs to his name and his latest run at Sandown was a step in the right direction; he came good at this time last year. Triple Dream is racking up the races as well but he is in fine form of late and is quickly turned out following a gallant second at Windsor. Also of interest is Matterofact whose style of running means that she needs plenty of luck in running however she looks to be coming to the boil and is one to keep on the right side of. Blinkers may bring about some improvement in course and distance winner Bold Argument, however it is Green Lagonda who is narrowly preferred.
