The five previous runnings have produced some shocks and this looks as tough as ever. Kennel Bridge scored over the C&D on New Year's Eve and though 5lbs higher looks sure to get competitive though the concession of 8lbs to PACO JACK may prove just beyond him. Paul Rothwell's charge is better over fences where he's on a much higher mark but he's run well at the previous two Festivals and looks to have been given a chance by the handicapper. Simple Jim travels from the UK with a chance at the weights while Rahan De Marcigny has improved with each run since joining Noel Meade from France and doesn't look badly treated. Leonard Whitmore won this in 2007 with Brave Right so Casey Top will have been primed for a big run despite a long absence and the consistent Coliseum will enjoy the faster ground.
