With plenty of rain forecast before racing gets underway it may be worth siding with TURNKEY, who acts well when there is juice in the ground and also loves it here, while Aegean Dancer, Total Impact and Artsu should be involved. The selection has won twice here over 6f, the last coming in the spring of 2008 from a mark of 90. That would make him look well handicapped here, and he is in good nick courtesy of a claimer win at Ripon last time. If the rains do come as forecast then he is one to keep on the right side of. Aegean Dancer, on the other hand, wants the rain to stay away as he is much better on quicker ground. He has not won since November 2007, but has run some decent races in defeat since, including last time. With the yard firing he should again go well. Total Impact is a minimum trip specialist and has never won on ground slower than good. That may prove against him here, while his current mark is high enough too. Michael Dods has his string in good form and Artsu represents him. He has been beaten off this mark a few times lately but has run with credit and he too will relish a drop of rain. Le Toreador is in good heart, winning at Ayr and Thirsk last month, and he does like it here too. He acts on most ground and we can see him running a big race once again, but the suggestion to get the better of him tonight is Turnkey.
