Progression appears to be the name of the game in this maiden and LAYLA'S BOY's performance behind Newmarket July meeting winner Awzaan on debut gives him the vote ahead of Gunner Lindley and Cansili Star. That performance from the selection was followed with a better display to find just one too good when upped to this trip last time and with his yard still firing he should go well again. Gunner Lindley has also looked progressive in two starts and while Barry Hills' runner should progress again on bare form he has a little to find. Cansili Star was well beaten into second by a smart looking odds on favourite on debut last time but beat Professor John in the process, who got home well at Brighton on Tuesday, so he can also get involved. Realisation is the most interesting newcomer and is bred to go well as a youngster for an inform yard but with the form in the book Layla's Boy has the call.
