Verdict
Just an ordinary event and the vote goes to Glinger while Heraclitean Fire and Minster York are the others to consider. The Nicky Richards-trained gelding showed progressive form over fences last term notching back-to-back wins at Market Rasen and Carlisle before ending the season on a mark of 101 over the larger obstacles. The son of Remainder Man is clearly well treated on a mark of just 86 on his return to hurdling and is taken to overcome an absence of over eight months under Tony Dobbin. Ex-Irish performer Heraclitean Fire has been far from disgraced in two starts in his native country and is on a fair mark for his British debut but may have preferred easier conditions to show his best. Minster York was in excellent form this time last season, notching a hat-trick over fences, but was well below his best on his seasonal return and is probably best watched on this occasion so Glinger looks the safest bet.
