Whispered Promises boasts the best form of those to have raced previously but could prove vulnerable to an above average newcomer such as Outer Hebrides while Muckabell is another interesting debutante. Mark Johnston has his Middleham yard in excellent form at present and Whispered Promises improved on his debut outing when finishing a close second over this trip at Thirsk last month. The son of Real Quiet looks sure to make his presence felt at this level but Outer Hebrides may prove a cut above this class. David Loder's charge makes plenty of appeal on breeding being an Efisio half-brother to numerous winners including the smart Ardkinglass and with his stable boasting an impressive first-time out strike rate, it would be no surprise if he proved good enough to make a winning debut. Andrew Balding introduces Muckabell, who is by Mukaddamah out of a dual winning mare by Thatching, and a market move could prove significant but Outer Hebrides is taken to overcome inexperience and open his account under Jamie Spencer.
