Verdict
An open event featuring a number of in-form rivals but narrow preference is for Dayglow Dancer ahead of Activity, Mister Rambo, Amaranth and Beauteous. Mick Channon's charge took full advantage of a lenient mark when a game winner over this trip at Chepstow last month and followed up with a highly creditable third off a 2lb higher mark in a competitive Kempton handicap next time. The son of Fraam remains on a very favourable mark compared to his wining form from last season and is well drawn in stall 3 so looks sure to give another good account of himself. The lightly raced Activity was an impressive six-length winner of a Yarmouth maiden on his seasonal reappearance but had his limitations exposed when a beaten odds-on shot off his current mark at Newmarket and looks vulnerable under top weight. Mister Rambo and Amaranth are both on fair marks at present and have been knocking on the door in similar company so have to be respected while Beauteous has strong claims on a decisive victory over six furlongs at Carlisle last week and is another to consider in an open heat.
