Not an inspirational contest and we are going to side with Pharoah Prince to see off Polish Spirit, Band and Acuzio. The selection has been dropped to a mark of 58, having been on 72 last season in Ireland, and he can benefit from the handicapper's assessment. He has form over the trip and on fast ground, which are both pluses, and in a weak contest we are prepared to take a chance. Polish Spirit will have plenty of support after showing his wellbeing with two good recent runs. However, fast ground is clearly not his cup of tea or otherwise we would see him as a potential selection in the race. Of the others, Band acts well on the surface, but his only win 21 starts came over a mile, and although he runs from the same mark, he may not truly last home, while doubly entered Acuzio is another one with stamina doubts, but is dropping to a mark from which he looks capable of being very competitive and could go well. But as we say, this is not a contest to get heavily involved in, and we will take Pharoah Prince to score.
