Matterofact has not been out of the first three in her last seven starts and she should be thereabouts again but she may be a shade too high in the weights and a better bet looks to be ROCKER, who is 3lbs better in with Matterofact for the head that was between them when they clashed at Brighton last month, and he gets the vote ahead of Charles Parnell. The last mentioned has run well in a couple of recent starts but he is not the most consistent of performers so may be best watched. Gold Express looked useful when winning a Newmarket handicap two years ago but he has only had three starts since then and has clearly had a few problems. Willie Muir's Enodoc can race off a 2lb lower mark than landing an apprentice jockey's handicap at Goodwood last time and he rates a bigger threat than Raccoon, who is not as good as he once was but is still capable of fair form as he showed when successful at Musselburgh June and when running well there in defeat recently.
