With soft going and plenty of development taking place, a watch in the market is always advised in races of this nature and LONGBOAT KEY is the selection with Mythical Thrill and Hawkleaf Flier ones to make appeal. Longboat Key was relatively cheap by Mark Johnston standards but this half-brother to One So Wonderful is a son of Dr Fong, so one would hope that the prevailing going wouldn¿t be a problem. The trainer had a 24% strike rate with his juveniles at the course. Mythical Thrill is related to some decent types and is worth a look if the market speaks in his favour. His full brother Mythical Prince handled the going when trained in Ireland. Hawkleaf Flier is eligible for handicaps beyond this. He couldn't be ruled out although he was notably big odds on both starts thus far. What A Day is a half-brother to Systematic. Far from disgraced at Beverley, he is proven on today's surface. Hector's Ace produced an impressive debut effort last month and was not friendless beforehand. Allformary was bred with sprinting in mind. Bryan Smart's juveniles have been modest this term. Denton Diva showed well on debut at Thirsk in August but failed to build upon that effort when tried at Musselburgh. Not a lot of form to go upon and of the newcomers Longboat Key makes plenty of appeal.
