A poor finale where CRIPSEY BROOK is proferred as the selection, while Gallego is among the dangers. The selection has won over this trip, on a sound surface and from higher marks on numerous occasions. He has also done the business here at Colwick Park, and comes here on the back of a good run at Redcar recently and he can get it right again here. Gallego scored at Sandown last time and a mile or 10f on decent ground suits. He is not the most consistent, however, so a 3lb rise in the weights may put him in his place here. Everyman is not without a chance as a gelding in decent nick at present, and who was a winner at Great Leighs a couple of starts back. He shouldn't mind good ground on turf, though the handicapper might just have his measure. Sir Boss has a decent inside pitch and steps up to this trip from a mile, which can help to elicit improvement from this lightly-raced type. Kalasam won his only race to date over this trip around a year ago and Mick Easterby likes to win these amateur races, so don't rule out a bold showing there.
