Not a hot division of this fillies' maiden and with the two that stand out on racecourse form, Miss Sophisticat and Perception, looking vulnerable we'll side with debutant ENTICEMENT to get it right first time. The selection is by Montjeu, so this is a good trip over which to start her, and her dam is a half-sister to Listen Indy who was a very useful juvenile miler in the States. With other relatives suggesting this trip at this age is spot on, plus the ground unlikely to be a problem, we'll take her to score. Miss Sophisticat has had four chances so far and her two most recent runs have been decent in the context of this race. Pedigree suggests she will go well on a sound surface so she is respected. Perception hasn't shown such strong form on the track just yet but did improve from first run to second and there is no reason why she can't get better with this step up to a mile. Za Za is a very well-related Barathea filly who should be suited by conditions and has the right sort of credentials to put up a good debut. The other newcomers may have to wait for future days though.
