Verdict

Imperial Charm was only beaten half-a-length on her debut on the July Course here last month and probably sets the standard with improvement likely but LYZBETH also showed promise at Ascot earlier this month. She jinked leaving the stalls but soon recovered lost ground and stayed on nicely under hands and heels in the closing stages – the extra furlong here should see her in a better light. Sunday Star just failed to catch the winner at Goodwood and there are several newcomers worth a market check including the €775,000 Siyouni filly Maqsad and Nearooz. Beautiful Gesture cost 105,000gns and all of her dam’s offspring to race have won.
