Kenya looks to complete the Irish/English Cambridgeshire double and can’t be ignored but this is a hugely competitive renewal with any number holding solid claims. The in-form Waarif is penalised and Very Talented carries 4lb extra for winning at Chelmsford, though Rossa Ryan’s claim takes care of most of that. Wissahickon’s most recent win also came on Polytrack but stablemate Stylehunter looks a progressive sort and Via Serendipity could go well at a price. Weighted to reverse Chelmsford running in June with Seniority, he’s won at Sandown and Ascot this year and was successful over a mile here last November. Drawn near the stands rail, he has a chance if lasting home. Sharja Bridge may well upstage stable companion Uae Prince while Zwayyan only found one too good off this mark at Ascot under the talented Jason Watson. Kynren has attracted significant ante-post support since his second at York and the ability to stay further than this trip is usually a plus. ALFARRIS also has stamina in his locker and Jim Crowley again prefers the Haggas gelding to Afaak, whom he beat at Goodwood in July. The latter is now 9lb better off but the former looks a more uncomplicated ride, despite the cheekpieces, and can reverse York running with Pivoine on better terms. Mountain Hunter and Sabador may be the pick of the remainder.
