Verdict

Keep the usual eye on the market for this opening maiden, though it probably won't give us too many clues as to the chances of the selection, Banchieri, but it may help out with one or two of the others. Godolphin's Banchieri, a son of Dubai Millennium, performed with expected promise on debut, staying on for third place a length behind Capable Guest. With that under his belt, the colt is now set to step up and break his duck at the second time of asking. Chief Scout could prove to be his main rival. Already proven with cut in the ground, he ran well before tying up slightly in the final furlong over this course and distance last time, but would not need to improve a massive amount to take a hand here. With Kieren Fallon booked he will be popular. Both Rossbeigh and Top The Charts merit respect on debut from likely connections, but those others that have run need to improve plenty to beat the selection, Banchieri.
