This is a wide open affair but Happy Event gets the vote ahead of Cusson and Rosiella. Rosiella has shown improvement on each of her three runs, culminating in a win over the course and distance last time, although that win was on faster ground than she will encounter here. Cusson won well at Brighton last time but this looks more competitive and although he will be a popular choice he is overlooked. Piddies Pride has winning form to her credit and wasn¿t disgraced behind Space Shuttle in a decent York handicap but for the selection we turn to Happy Event. He sprang a surprise when scoring on his debut in an auction contest at Windsor and was then upped in class at Salisbury and Newbury but failed to get in a blow. He is likely to find this much easier however than the Weatherby¿s Super Sprint and Happy Event is a sporting selection to get the night off to a tremendous start.
