In depth

Verdict

National League scored twice last season, including on heavy ground. He reappeared with a promising run at Lingfield and should be winning again soon. River Nymph also returned to action in that same race and stayed on very strongly after getting outpaced. Lion Tower completed a double at Southwell but couldn't get close to the winner on his Turf debut at Pontefract. Al Rufaa made most over 7f in a York novices' race on soft ground in October. The form hasn't worked out but the son of Kingman can only improve. KING RAGNAR, a winner at Newcastle in November, ran very well in a better handicap than this over the track and trip two weeks ago and, with his rider's claim a major plus, can get back to winning ways.
