Autocue did everything asked of him when making a winning debut at Newmarket in July and there may well be a lot more to come from Sir Michael Stoute's two-year-old but a safer bet looks to be Emmrooz, with Kandahar Run rated the pick of the remainder. The selection has shown decent form already and showed that he handles cut in the ground when a close up seventh in the Royal Lodge last time. A reproduction of that form may well suffice for Godolphin's colt. Richard Hannon's Ghetto is more exposed than most of these but is proven with cut in the ground and makes more appeal than stablemate Cordell, who may find the going too testing. Henry Cecil's Kandahar Run is going the right way and cannot be ruled out but Emmrooz has solid claims and he gets the vote.
