Halfwaytoparadise, Sion Hill and Mis Chicaf look the three to concentrate on in this awful opener and the vote goes to Halfwaytoparadise. Consistency is not the strong suit of any of these really, but Bill Turner's filly is about as good as it gets in this field in that respect. Recent form has seen her in the frame at Lingfield over a mile and at Brighton over 7f, and then finally breaking her maiden tag in a Brighton claimer a couple of weeks ago. Perhaps that success will be enough of a confidence boost for see her follow up and a repeat effort would probably see her score. Miss Chicaf has not won since her three-year-old days and never beyond 6f, but she did put in a decent effort in context when third at Ayr last time. A similar performance would probably see her make the frame but she is not one to trust and we will oppose. Sion Hill took a 9f Wolverhampton claimer last time out and is clearly in good nick, and perhaps, like the selection, that first win will be enough to give him the confidence to follow up. However, this trip may be on the short side for him and so we will take him on. Little else appeals and Halfwaytoparadise gets the nod.
