Another poor contest on a moderate night of racing where Lilac Moon may well be capable of following up her Carlisle win, with Prince Noel, Musical Land and Arabiyah others for the short lists. Lilac Moon steps up in trip from her mile success at Carlisle and that can elicit further improvement, based on her pedigree. She has not yet been tried at the track, so there is always the question over her ability to handle the surface, but she looks a nice enough prospect and we will side with her. Prince Noel won a seller over 9f at Musselburgh last time out and has won over this trip before, so with this not being hot he could again go close. Musical Land is officially rated the best of these and on the face of it looks favoured by the weights. It is not long since he was rated 15lb higher than this mark, but his form has tailed off quickly and he is best watched. Arabiyah has a similar profile but at her best she could definitely get competitive, though we think Lilac Moon should have the call here.
