Orpen Wide has been running well without winning of late and is entitled to be thereabouts again but Michael Chapman's gelding may have to settle for a minor role again, with preference for Barney McGrew who gets the vote over Bomber Command. The last mentioned is potentially still well enough treated but is unproven in sprints and, while bred to appreciate the drop back in distance, he may be best watched today. Red Romeo represents a yard in good form at present and has claims but could probably do with some help from the handicapper, while Curtail has not won for some time and is another that looks a shade high in the weights. Abwaab has shown a consistent level of form this term and has claims but preference is for Barney McGrew, who should appreciate the faster ground today having struggled on testing going at Windsor last time.
