The handicapper has left SHABIB alone following his Folkestone win last time and he is fancied to win again at the main expense of Baariq and Invincible Isle. Given a break of 87 days since his last run (a comprehensive win at Folkestone), the selection's previous second to Secret Society at Lingfield in April reads very well with that horse going on to win a heritage handicap off a mark of 96 since. He handled this course fine on his debut and with more improvement to come he should take all the beating. Mabait is ridden by Ryan Moore for the first time today; this son of Kyllachy was well-fancied last time out at Folkestone but failed to fire and the feeling is that there is more to come although he does have stamina to prove. Wannabe King has some solid form to his name, and he has shown that he handles any ground; the best piece of form that he has produced is arguably his second to Makaamen at Newbury in April. Baariq flopped last time out at the track; he is dropped back to seven furlongs which looks sure to suit but he arguably needs to settle better if he is to last home over any trip. Duke's Art and Invincible Isle come here on the back of maiden wins, and of the pair it is the Henry Cecil-trained Invincible Isle who has the more taking profile and she is open to lots of improvement. New Leyf steps up in trip, as does Summers Target who has flopped over this distance before. Chocolicious has been in good form in lesser company but she will find this tougher, as will Capo Regime and The Scorching Wind who was gambled on last time. Kheskianto is another consistent filly who cannot be overlooked, despite a record of 1 win from 17 starts, however it is Shabib who looks home and hosed.
