In depth

Verdict

Bedizen has to be of interest first time out but Sir Michael Stoute's colt lacks any previous experience and preference is for Wood Ditton runner-up Minister of State, who gets the vote ahead of Reballo. The last mentioned ran on well in a Kempton maiden on his debut and has to be of interest on his first start on turf, while Ed Dunlop's Bold Alaska has a decent pedigree but comes from a yard whose runners tend to progress with experience. The William Haggas-trained Avelian cannot be discounted, especially with the yard in such good form at present, while Marbaa is another interesting newcomer from the Ed Dunlop stable and may be worth monitoring in the market. Minister of State created a favourable impression the Wood Ditton though and is taken to land this prize before going on to better things.
